MG Car Club of Wagga Wagga

Our Club

Formed in 1990, the MG Car Club of Wagga Wagga is a Club for people who own and/or have an interest in MGs and other British cars in general.

People of all ages, experiences and technical knowledge make up our membership base. You don't need to be mechanically minded or deeply into cars, you just need to enjoy them!

The MG Car Company

The MG Car Company, otherwise known as simply "MG", was a British automotive manufacturer which began in the early 1920s, when Cecil Kimber began to produce sporty variations of standard Morris vehicles. These variations were badged as 'MG', and it is believed, although not confirmed, that Morris Garages is what the abbreviated 'MG' refers to.

The brand has many well known and successful models, including the T series of the 1930s, 40s and 50s and the MGB, produced between 1962 and 1980.

MG cars are still popular today, with tens of thousands of owners and fans around the world. Australia itself includes over a dozen dedicated MG clubs, of which our Club is just one.

In mid-2005, the MG brand was purchased by the Nanjing Automobile Group in China. New models, such as the MG3 and MG6, continue to keep the MG marque alive today.
